We currently have 16 fraternities as members and cover over 60% of the fraternity population at Mizzou. The MGA GPA consistently ranks above the all-male and all-fraternity averages at Mizzou. Over 41% of MGA members were on the Dean's List for spring 2023. MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS OVER THE PAST YEAR INCLUDE: • Promotion of Danny's Law (HB240) in the Missouri Legislature. Danny's Law would amend the state criminal hazing law to provide immunities to individuals who come to the aid of a hazing victim who is in distress. We are continuing to build out lobbying efforts with state, Mizzou Administration, and national anti-hazing organizations. • Successfully worked with Mizzou on a new Student Conduct Code. Among several changes, the Code was revised to focus more on individual versus organization responsibility and significantly improved due-process protections. • Multiple education events for students and alumni: • Legal risk management • Personal Safety in Greek Houses (csladvance.com/webinars/life-safety-2023) • Beers aren't bad (beersarentbad.com) • Anti-Hazing video (tinyurl.com/MGAHazingVideo) If you would like more information on MGA, please contact Chuck Linn '75 at (972) 679- 4298 or Bill Fialka '75 at (816) 797-3395.
