e Next 125 Years
Charlie looks forward to more generations of
Greens who will keep the family business running
with integrity.
"I'm excited to be part of the 5th generation, not just
in jewelry but in the world of retail," he says. "And I
hope to do the same things my father and grandfather
… and the generations before them … have done."

Giving back is an important part of LB&G's heritage.
For this historic anniversary, John Green, Charlie's
father, led the way by designating 125 charities, many
of which have personal meaning to the family and
their employees.
"We ask our staff to suggest
organizations that would benefi t
from our donations. Some of our
stores do their own give-back
programs, such as supporting a
women's shelter," says Charlie.
Donations may take the form
of gi items for silent or live
auctions, fi nancial support,
or volunteering.
In October, the company entertained their entire
staff at a 125th Anniversary party. People were given
awards based on their years of service and contributions
to the company. Some employees have been with them
for 30+ years.
"One of the reasons I wanted to become part of the
new generation of Lux Bond & Green is to preserve the
legacy of long-term employees," says Charlie.
