Calvin Thompson '26 and Aaron Wagner '26 also attended the annual Kleberg Emerging Leaders Institute in Oxford, Ohio. Reid had this to say about his experience: "My time at Convention was incredible, as I had the opportunity to meet Phis from across the country. As a voting delegate, I took on the responsibility of ensuring that our Chapter's voice was heard when discussing various additions and subtractions from the code such as member dues and the installation of new charters. Overall, it is not an experience I will soon forget." AUTUMN HIGHLIGHTS The Indiana Zeta House has been buzzing with excitement since the members returned in August. From sports teams to student government leadership, the members of Indiana Zeta have been leaving a positive impact on campus. With 12 football players and two student coaches, Phi Delt has played a solid role in DePauw's 10-0 regular season! The house is also well-represented on the soccer, tennis, and golf teams. The most memorable highlight so far was watching Brooks Coats '24 defend his individual title with a score of 69 on the final day of the Stateline Shootout to help lead the team to victory. IRON PHI AND PHILANTHROPY Eli Bell '24 and Alex Backhaus '25 earned their Iron Phi status this summer. Indiana Zeta is currently leading in an Iron Phi Rivalries challenge against Wabash. The Chapter had a car wash earlier this year and put together a school- wide dodgeball tournament in November to help raise money for the Live Like Lou Foundation. CHAPTER AWARDS AND HOUSE IMPROVEMENTS Indiana Zeta received an Excellence in Recruitment award from General Headquarters. The house also underwent a couple of landscaping renovations this summer and fall, including a new sidewalk and landscaping improvements from the parking lot to the east side door. Thank you for continuing to support Indiana Zeta as we grow individually and as a Chapter. Generous and always ready to lend a helping hand, Bruce had a talent for bringing people together. The outdoors were his happy place. He acquired his pilot's license before his driver's license, bicycling to his flying lessons. Bruce was the epitome of a family man. A music lover, he sang in church choirs and enjoyed playing his guitar frequently. He shared his wife's devout Catholic faith as an active participant in his local faith communities. Bruce was an eternal optimist and always saw the bright side of life; the many fond and entertaining memories he made will stay with us for the rest of our lives. He will be greatly missed.
