e Washington Alpha Delt 2 We closed with a full tour of the house and finished with a golden hour photo op on the roof. We showed well and, in the opinion of your humble author, bolstered a stronger argument for Washington Chapter as the model for all Alpha Delt Chapters (and alumni) to emulate. As we head into the new year, we need to continue addressing occupancy levels for the actives, unexpected Temple challenges, and the next cadre of undergraduate officers. Regarding the Sustain initiative, rebuilding the foundation scholarship fund and getting live-in occupancy to full capacity will still take another year or two. The active Chapter has positive energy to spare, but we alumni need to step up in a sustainable way to ensure that the turnover of each school provides a foundation that gets stronger every year. W ashington Chapter is excited to announce the 2024 Bubble Bash Auction for Seattle Children's Hospital Stanley Stamm Summer Camp to be held on the evening of Sunday, April 7, 2024. After last year's successful post-COVID resurrection of the event, we have set a goal of raising $80,000. Last spring, we raised $48,000 thanks to gracious support from alumni, parents, and friends of Alpha Delts. We ask for your help this coming year in raising the bar to make an even greater impact! Alumni and parents, this event has been self- originated, organized, and run since 2012 by the active Chapter. Alumni are encouraged to support this event since it was not a tradition in the days of yore. It is the Chapter's major charitable effort toward building sound citizenship and community involvement. Don't miss the opportunity to witness something that will make you proud of being an Alpha Delt alumnus and/or parent, witnessing what the youth of today are working toward. WAYS TO JOIN IN: • Attend the auction and contribute in that manner. • Donate items that can be live- auctioned, such as a stay at a vacation home, a stay at a home here in Seattle, one-of-a-kind experiences, exclusive activities, and more. • Donate silent auction items like gift baskets, tickets to sporting events, gift cards, retail items, and other must-have items for event attendees. • Donate special beverages and wines. • Create fabulous desserts. • Donate event supplies (programs, flowers, etc.). • Recommend an auctioneer. Please contact Ethan Staats '24 at ethan.staatsjr@gmail.com, Vansh Gupta '25 at vanshg9@uw.edu, or Will Hunt '26 at pw.hunt11@gmail.com if you can help with any of these! We will process donations. Seattle Children's Hospital hosts the Dr. Stanley Stamm Summer Camp, a weeklong sleepover camp for children with wide-ranging health conditions that prevent attendance at other summer camps. Located near Mount Rainier, the camp gives attendees the opportunity to explore the outdoors, go fishing, make arts and crafts, enjoy social activities, try archery, and even ride horses. The camp is a 501(c)(3) organization directly linked to and sponsored by Seattle Children's Hospital. Washington Chapter is an official Guild of Seattle Children's Hospital.
