Annual AGR Lambda Golf and Summer Social Gathering O n Saturday, July 8, Lambda collegians, alumni, and several spouses continued what has become an annual summer golf and social tradition. This year's event was organized by Brother Michael Berglund #1061. Held at the Wedgewood Cove Golf Course in Albert Lea, we had seven foursomes who golfed and six additional brothers from the greater Albert Lea area joined in for an après-golf social and dinner. Previous events have been held at the university golf course in St. Paul and courses in Northfield, LeSueur, Jordan, and Albert Lea. Any Lambda brother and spouse is welcome and encouraged to join the group, with all skill levels welcome. A date and venue for 2024 has yet to be determined, but we hope to see you there! Lambda brothers and spouses enjoy a day at Little Crow golf Resport in Spicer, Minnesota, for the Nick Lilleberg Memorial Open. Recruitment Referrals Welcome! Y ou can help with recruitment any time of year by sending us potential new members! Please send their name, age/grade, major, interests, and contact information to Noble Ruler Dane Haubenschild #1844 at (763) 760-4153 or haube018@umn.edu, or to VNR Recruitment Levi Lilleberg #1851 at (320) 979-1218 or lille210@umn.edu. Chapter Eternal Harley E. Hanke #489 (2001 Man of the Year) September 9, 2023 Tim Kukowski #1306 August 1, 2023 A Bountiful Fall for Lambda A s I write this, fall is in full swing. Gopher football may be touch and go this season, but your collegiate chapter is winning through and through. This semester, I was able to join the chapter for their annual Career Night, where brothers practiced visiting booths at a career fair (in some cases there were actual internship offers available). During the same visit, Chapter Adviser Royce Durhman #1704 and I met with National Alpha Gamma Rho Educational Leadership Consultant Logan Leen. Logan gave both rave reviews and explained the new scoring system to help chapters achieve more on the Green and Gold scale. Lambda Chapter is doing wonderfully, which you can see by joining any Monday dinner. The alumni chapter also hosts a tailgate at each Gopher football game, and collegians love hearing from alumni like us in general. Consider joining them to present any advice or talk about your career. No matter your path in life, I hope your harvests are bountiful and you get to spend time with your family this fall and winter.
