As chapter president, I am so excited to share updates about our recent accomplishments and events we've participated in these past few months. SPRING ACCOLADES We wrapped up the spring semester celebrating some big accomplishments: • Brooklynn Arment '19 was selected as 2023 Greek Week Queen. The May 2023 graduate served as VP of public relations and marketing for Alpha Nu and the Panhellenic Association and received her degree in business administration. • Kate Michael '19 and Sarah Spencer '20 were tapped to join Omicron Delta Kappa, one of Mizzou's six secret honorary societies, during the 96th Tap Day ceremony in April. • Megan Ciaramitaro '19 was selected as a 2023 recipient of the Mizzou '39 Award. In the spirit of service that was the cornerstone of its 1839 founding, the Mizzou Alumni Association Student Board presents the Mizzou '39 Award to 39 outstanding seniors each year. Recipients are chosen for their academic achievement, leadership and service to Mizzou and the community. ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS We had incredible academic success in the spring 2023 semester, achieving a chapter GPA of 3.5. An impressive 154 members were named to the dean's list, and 27 members earned a 4.0. VP of Intellectual Development Sara Rysavy '21 encourages our members to meet their academic goals by hosting various development events such as Intellectual Insomnia, where members come to the house, grab a treat from Insomnia Cookies and work on homework with their sisters. PHILANTHROPIC EVENTS We continue to raise funds to support domestic violence awareness and our local beneficiary, True North of Columbia. VP of Philanthropy Sami Magee '21 has worked diligently to coordinate and plan impactful events this year. Last spring, we raised more than $22,000, and we're excited to see the final tally from our fall philanthropy work. In October, we had a record-breaking turnout at our annual Burgers and Fries with the Alpha Chis fundraiser and hosted a community run called Dash for DVA. So far, we've raised more than $10,000 this semester. HOMECOMING Alpha Nu was paired with the men of FarmHouse and Alpha Epsilon Pi. The overall theme this year was Childhood Stories, and our subtheme was "If you Give a Mouse a Cookie." We are grateful to contribute to one of Mizzou's greatest traditions and to be able to work with members from other Greek councils on campus. WHAT'S AHEAD We are so excited for the rest of the semester and cannot wait to share future accomplishments with you. On behalf of Alpha Nu, thank you for your continued love and support.
