Have heard this many times from new folks in our area. Our Facebook Page is Salva- tion Army Thrift Store, Quartzsite AZ. We all really appreciate the 5 star reviews we have received on our Google business page this past month. Thanks so much. The 2023 holiday season is here, and we are getting ready with many special events. If you know of someone going through some difficult times in Quartzsite, who would appreciate a hot homecooked meal on Thanks- giving Day, please have them call me immediately. Looking for those that may be alone, not able to get out, unable or having difficulty cooking. We will have our Second Annual Thanksgiving Day Meal de- livery. Our volunteers will bring a hot Thanksgiving dinner prepared by Coyote Market and delivered to them by our awesome volunteers. We also have two programs for children. For those families needing a little extra help making the true meaning of Christmas happen, we have our Angel Tree program. This is an assistance application process that begins with a phone call inter- view. Call as soon as possible. We hope to have some of the names on the Angel Tree for our amazing Angel Tree shoppers the week of Thanksgiving. We know many of you like to shop for the kiddos at the Friday sales. Our second Christmas event is for all children of Quartzsite and our surrounding area, is our An- nual Santa Event. This year it will be held on Friday, December 22nd, 9:00AM to 1:00PM. Pictures with Santa and pick out toys, games, stuffed animals books, school sup- plies, etc. We can always use elf vol- unteers for this event. Please let me know if interested. We are also putting out Santa Toy Collection Boxes that will show the Salvation Army Logo on them. If anyone would like a collection box, we can bring a box to you. Please call. We will have a collection box here, too. Thanks. Our beautiful Christmas displays are both inside the store and on our porch area. New porch shelving and peg boards arranged by Merry Mary and her husband Buzz, who have spent several hours redesigning our porch area for your shopping enjoy- ment. Thanks so much. Thank you to Tina and Mark for attaching our tarp as a dust protector for the donation porch area. It is much better for us. Unusual items we have that might be of special interest, Cushman Elec- tronics multi-channel monitor, MSR Dragonfly stove, hydraulic trailer weight scales, rifle cleaning kits, leather L.L. Bean messenger satchel bag, and a Singer Fashion Mate 257 sewing machine in cabinet. We get the most unique items as donations. We thank our amazing donors. Please continue to donate your un- needed eyeglasses, computer ink cartridges, cell phones, as well as outdated prescription medications. We recycle all to the appropriate agencies. Don't forget our adult and child dia- per program is always available. This is a monthly program with a simple sign-up procedure. Please ask. We also have a large assortment of medical devices that are available on a loan-out basis with a refundable de- posit upon the item being returned. We continue to have free shoes, socks, and miscellaneous items out front of the store and a free clothing rack and food available inside each day. Please understand that our build- ing has no windows, no air exchange ventilation, our aisles are tight, and we have many senior volunteers with health concerns. We are asking for personal space of six feet (camel length) and recommending, not re- quiring, a face covering- which we provide, for both us and our amaz- ing shoppers.
