We were thrilled to welcome new members from all over the country and, of course, watch the Kansas football team continue their success from last season. Between that and the recent improvements to our outdoor bar area, we hosted many great tailgates at the Shelter. Our annual alumni golf tournament on September 16 was a great success and an especially fun time. We had close to 100 participants and raised just over $10,000. It was also an excellent way for our new members to network with our respected alumni. We recently awarded scholarships to Brothers with the top six freshman GPAs from last year: Connor Shepard '22, Quinn Heather '22, Bobby Oppenheim '22, Ben Hansen '22, Andrew Cox '22, and Andrew Pronske '22. Additionally, Grant Strong '21 was named IFC Scholar of the Month for September. In philanthropy news, Christian Brummett '23, Carter Cate '23, Sebastian Meriano '22, and Jack Holton '24 competed in a hotdog eating contest to raise money for the Lawrence Memorial Health Foundation. The new members also helped the elderly and disabled households of the Lawrence community with yard work. We are excited to keep striving for greatness in our grades as well as pushing the Shelter forward with philanthropy and member development. As always, Rah Delt and Rock Chalk! Fraternally, The Men of Gamma Tau kansasdtd@gmail.com "My grandfather and uncle were both Delts at KU and spoke very highly of the Shelter. After I got to meet the Brothers, I was impressed and knew it was right for me." –Christian Brummett '27 "There are many reasons, but to narrow it down: definitely how nice the Shelter is. (And everyone in it!)" –Brady Lambert '27 "Recruitment is a great way to meet new people, and the Delt upperclassmen were very welcoming. I knew the guys had similar goals as me in and out of the classroom." –Will Leuschen '27 "The Delts gave me a warm welcome from day one. I have been treated with so much respect and gratitude, and my experience so far has been amazing." –Jack Riker '27 From left: Joey Connor '00, Danny Duffy '00, Charlie Wolffe '00, and Caleb Wirth '00 on a senior trip to Las Vegas. Winners of the Hibb's Freshman Scholarship. From left: Ben Hansen '22, Andrew Cox '22, Quinn Heather '22, Bobby Oppenheim '22, Andrew Pronske '22, and Connor Shepard '22.
