3 O M I C R O N C H A P T E R O F A L P H A P H I F A L L 2 0 2 3 The Omicron Alpha Phis are loving the new house and have been using it for many of our events. This spring, Mom's Weekend was held at the house with boutiques, a sorority merchandise company, a coffee truck, and a light breakfast in the Grand Hall. Along with that, Audrey Cossins '21, Vice President of New Member Education, started a new tradition for the senior class. The sisters had dinner together in the Alumnae Lounge, with the doors open to enjoy the beautiful view from Phi Beach. The Omicron sisters also welcomed over 80 new members on Bid Day! This was the first Bid Day in years held entirely at the house. There was a bouncy house, a coffee and snow cone truck, bracelet- making, snacks, and sandwiches, as well as decorations matching the theme, "Alpha Phi Oasis". Thank you to our Vice President of Recruitment, Claire Gregory '20, for a successful recruitment! For philanthropy events, we held our first "Pie an APhi" in Speaker Circle this spring. We live-streamed the event and had many parents and students donate to our philanthropy. This fall, we have plans to host a late-night "Mac n Phis" dinner in the Grand Hall. Our Vice President of Health, Wellness, and Accountability, Katey Clark '20, is also planning a new philanthropy event, Mr. Heart Throb, which is projected to raise more money for the Alpha Phi Foundation than we have in recent years. A number of our sisters deserve special recognition for their campus leadership positions this fall semester. Omicron had three sisters serve as Pi Chis this fall during recruitment: Abby Schaeffer '20, Laney Tvrdik '20, and Grace Catlett '21. We are also so proud of Laney Tvrdik '20 and Anna DeMarco '21 for being selected to serve on the 2023 Homecoming Steering Committee, one of the most revered student leadership positions on campus.
