They are going to open a portion of their land to a regular Dry Camp Swap Meet. This will be in operation from November 1st through March 31st. A basic 20'x30' space will rent for only $100 per month this season. Larger spaces may be negotiated. See Anker at the QIA office, located at 235 E. Ironwood St., Quartzsite, or call 928- 927-6325. ������������ ���������������� ����������� Museum Hours: Wed. thru Sun. 10-4, 161 W. Main (next to Silly Al's), Quartzsite, Arizona Free admission! FIELD TRIPS 2009-2010 Military camps & Southern Cross Mine, CRIT Museum, Parker Museum & Akakhav Preserve, London Bridge & Miniature Lighthouses, Yuma Territo- rial Prison & Yuma Crossing with Quartermaster's Depot, Hydroponics, LKH Farming & Granite Quarry These are tentative field trips for this season, subject to change. You will need to bring a brown bag lunch, water and chair. Sometimes a small fee will be charged to enter the various places. Quartzsite Historical Tyson's Well Stage Coach Station Museum events Moving day at the museum QUARTZSITE- Monday, Dec. 7, 2009. Pouring rain did not stop the bunk house from the Mariquita Mine, circa 1920's, from being moved. The building was orginally moved in the 1840's by pioneer Jesse Scott to the Scott property on W. Cowell St. It was used as a storage building for many years until recently. The bunk house joins the original assay shack from the Mariquita Mine, which offers a peek into the everyday life of the miners. Just to the west of the Museum are the ruins of the Oasis Hotel. The Quartzsite Historical Society invites you to stop and visit and learn a little more about Quartzsite, Arizona and the interesting folks who call it home.
