It spans all times of the American military history. Free admission. Hours are Tuesday–Sat- urday 9am-4pm. The museum is located at 735 W. Ocotillo Lane, Quartzsite. Food Handler cards are required for every person who handles or pre- pares food, and/or handles the food utensils and equipment, including dish washing. The cost is $15.00 (No charge for Volunteers) per year and the card must be posted inside the food unit. Cards must be obtained prior to working/opening. It even looks different, after all it is just watered down. Isn't this what is happening in today's World? The criminal justice system has been watered down. The bad guys get away with stealing, lying and even murder. But real tragedy is a 'watered-down religion'. God knew of this danger and many times encouraged us to be steadfast, to stand our ground and stand firm. 1 Corinthians 15:58 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abound- ing in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. God even made it clear that we were not to 'add to His Word' or to 'take away from it'. Don't water it down! I like these words - "We speak where the Bible Speaks and we are Silent where the Bible is Silent". Let's stick with the original. Let's not be guilty of watering down the Word of God. A watered-down religion (Word of God) will not only lose it's flavor but it will lose it's saving Power. Dave Fiddament "Dave the Bible Reader" PROP 401 QUESTION to Quartzsite Voters November 7, 2023: Shall the Town of Quartzsite be authorized a one-time override to expend $1,100,000 in excess of the Town's constitutional expen- diture limitation pursuant to Article IX, Section 20, of the Arizona Constitution for the Town's fiscal year ending June 30, 2025? □YES □NO FAST FACTS: ►Proposition 401 One-time Override will provide local control to meet local needs instead of having to use a state-imposed formula based on 1979/1980 figures. ►Proposition 401 will NOT impose any new or additional taxes and does not raise existing taxes. ►Proposition 401 WILL permit the Town of Quartzsite to use cur- rent, existing revenue sources to provide services without being subject to state-imposed limits based on 1979/1980 figures. PROPOSITION 401 ONE-TIME OVERRIDE FAQS: ► WHY DO WE NEED A ONE-TIME OVERRIDE? In 1980 the voters of the State of Arizona approved a tax reform package that placed a new expenditure limitation on cities and towns. This limitation is based on expenditures in 1979 adjusted for popula- tion changes and inflation. Municipalities have the power to change their state-imposed expenditure limitation and use all their existing revenue sources to provide services through voter approval. ► WILL PROPOSITION 401 INCREASE MY TAXES? NO. If Proposition 401 passes, the only outcome is to provide the Town the ability to budget for and spend the revenues it already collects. ► WHAT DOES A "YES" VOTE ON PROPOSITION 401 MEAN? A "Yes" vote means you are in favor of giving the Town's elected offi- cials local control and authority to set the Town's annual spending limit based upon available, existing revenues for the fiscal year 2024-2025. ► WHAT DOES A "NO" VOTE ON PROPOSITION 401 MEAN? A "No" vote means you are not in favor of giving the Town's elect- ed officials expenditure authority and that you want the Town to limit Town expenditures to the state-imposed formula for at least two consecutive fiscal years (until it can be approved by the voters at another election.) This would represent a reduction of approxi- mately 15% of the Town's total budget capacity.
