Delta Kappa Excels in Service Alpha Tau Omega University of Oklahoma P.O. Box 442100 Lawrence, KS 66044 Address Service requested T h e EACON B Growing Through Giving T he spring 2023 semester was an incredibly exciting period of growth for Delta Kappa. We set goals to support the University of Oklahoma and the broader community more impactfully than ever before! ON-CAMPUS INTERNSHIPS We committed time and resources to supporting our athletic department, with some of our brothers landing prestigious internships in athletics. "I'm thrilled to be the lead intern for athletics marketing/fan experience," Brayden Ford '22 said. "On game days, I oversee all stadium and fan-related activities, from Fan Fest and the Walk of Champions to ensuring contestants for on-field games during timeouts and halftime are selected. I also make sure everyone is in a position for special recognitions and events. It's an amazing opportunity, and I'm excited to contribute to the game day experience!" SERVING OUR COMMUNITY For philanthropy, we raised over $5,000 in spring 2023 for the Wounded Warrior Project through an event called "TauFish," where we sold tickets to a crawfish boil that featured arcade games, lawn games, and other entertainment. For the fall semester, we have set ambitious service goals and have multiple events planned. We also have 32 members participating in University of Oklahoma Dance Marathon, a campus-wide philanthropic event raising money for the Children's Hospital Foundation. Some of the other philanthropy events include our signature Cuts for Cancer, GatorFest/Wounded Warriors Project event, Body Bowls, and Bench as well as events to support the Norman Fire Department. STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE Our entire chapter is excited to be working to support the University of Oklahoma, the city of Norman, and multiple charitable organizations! We look forward to making a bigger impact than ever before as we strive to be the best chapter in the country, develop further as men, and change as many lives as we can. Fraternally, John Noel '20 Chapter President Upcoming Events M ake your plans to join us for these chapter and alumni events!
