Alpha-Phi Zeta Continues to Grow P O S I T I O N E D FO R P R O G R E SS 3 O ur brotherhood is stronger than ever. Throughout the years, this Chapter has seen many changes and reached many milestones. As the years have passed since our founding, the Chapter has evolved and accomplished many great things. From the beginning, we have always aimed to instill excellence in our young men. R E C R U I T M E N T E F F O R T S This summer and fall, our recruitment committee worked tirelessly to recruit another large class of associate members. Our brother count currently sits at 106, with an additional 41 associate members currently in the fall class. Active brothers are thrilled to reach this milestone. Following recruitment success, the new member education process is currently underway, and we are proud of the promising young men we see before us. The associate member class had an overall GPA of 3.3, the highest it has been since I became a brother. We continue to promote and support our brothers in academic excellence. C O M M U N I T Y O U T R E A C H Our recent philanthropic efforts have been outstanding, with our Chapter contributing the third highest of any Lambda Chi Alpha Chapter this past year. We raised a total of $1,781 to support men's health and awareness. In addition, many associate members and active brothers have been volunteering their time at the West Alabama Food Bank. H O U S E R E N O V A T I O N S Recent notable house improvements have been instrumental to the functionality and operation of Alpha-Phi Zeta. We recently resodded our backyard. A new high-end projector was installed in early 2022 and has been a beacon of excitement all year. It has been used for alumni events, away football games, and even associate member education. Our kitchen has seen a few updates, and another significant improvement was the much-needed remodeling of our backyard deck. My personal favorite addition is the new leather recliners and sectional furniture in our "mini tube," which has seen great use, especially from brothers living in the house. The previous cloth couches were worn and outdated. A L U M N I S U P P O R T As High Zeta and as a Chapter, we would like to thank House Corporation for their constant support. None of these improvements could have been made possible without them, and we want to express our utmost gratitude and appreciation for every improvement they have graciously contributed to the house. We specifically thank House Corporation President Wayne Keith, AΦ775 for his hard work. We also must thank Butch Camp, AΦ888 for being a phenomenal liaison between the active Chapter and House Corporation. We appreciate High Pi Roy Gregg, AΦ881 for all his significant, inspiring contributions. Lastly, we thank Ms. Becky "B" Schuler for her years as our house director, taking on the task remotely while living in Gainesville, Florida.
