A SLICE OF PI GAMMA PHI BETA AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA-LINCOLN • FALL 2023 B ecoming a lifelong member of Pi Chapter is an extraordinary privilege. As each semester unfolds, the undergraduate women of Gamma Phi Beta consistently demonstrate their perseverance and excellence, ultimately leaving a positive and lasting impact on our campus and community. Spring 2023 began with the addition of two wonderful new members through continuous open bidding (and we've welcomed 45—with the potential for six more—this fall! Read more on page 3). With our house and hearts full, we began the semester ready for success. On March 4, we held our Moonball event, which featured an abundance of joy, sportsmanship, and a healthy dose of competition as teams participated in a thrilling basketball tournament coached by our members. Beyond this, we extended our influence into the community by contributing a remarkable 1,733 hours of community service this spring! We also had a great time organizing and enjoying two formals, bidding farewell to our graduates with a delightful Senior Week brimming with bubbles, popsicles, and heartfelt messages. In line with our core value of learning, our pursuit of academic excellence reached new heights as we earned a remarkable chapter GPA of 3.73, with 56 members receiving a 4.0. Our celebrations didn't stop there, as three of our members were honored by being tapped into Mortar Board and one was selected for the prestigious Innocents Society. We also had three seniors graduate as Chancellor Scholars for receiving a 4.0 GPA on all collegiate work. We take immense pride in each sister's dedication to lifelong learning. Even during the summer months, our dedication didn't wane. Five members of pledge class 2022 launched CHAARG at UNL—an organization dedicated to empowering women through self-care and group fitness. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of our incredible alumnae for your unwavering dedication to our sisterhood. Your perseverance and steadfast support mean the world to us, and we are deeply thankful for the enduring impact Pi Chapter has had on all our lives.
