4 BUILDING ON BETA'S SUCCESSES ALPHA NU BROTHERS STAY INVOLVED Members from the class of 2025 gather on the Oread rooftop for a social event with Pi Beta Phi. A s a new academic year begins, I am happy to report that Alpha Nu has continued to shine in areas of academics, involvement, and brotherhood. SPRING ACTIVITIES I'm excited to share that the house finished spring with an outstanding GPA of 3.63. To put this into perspective, the male university average was 3.29. Along with this, 25 brothers achieved a 4.0. We also led a philanthropy event, Buckets for Luke, which consisted of eight sororities participating in a basketball tournament. The event raised thousands of dollars and spread awareness of Be The Match, an organization that aims to save lives by matching donors with patients. The Hutt has continued to do Legend of the Hutt dinners, which have deepened connections between younger brothers of the house and brothers years or even decades removed. SUMMER ABROAD Many brothers (including myself) had the opportunity to study abroad and visit Europe for the very first time. Highly recommended by brothers who were a part of it last year, six underclassmen studied abroad with the CIMBA program in Italy. While some spent their summer surrounded by new cultures and fun excursions, others continued their professional development by completing prestigious internships across America. To name a couple, Nick Eilts '24 and Turner Seals '24 worked at Lincoln International's investment banking division in Chicago. INVOLVEMENT The Hutt continues to be very involved on The Hill. To name a few brothers, Turner Seals '24 was elected student body president of the university, with many members of the house being heavily involved in his campaign. Turner is the fourth Alpha Nu in the last 10 years to hold this prestigious role (succeeding Marcus Tetwiler '14, Noah Reis '19, and Apramay Mishra '22). Adam Jolles '24 is the executive producer of Rock Chalk Revue, with Tanner Helton '24 being the business manager. There are also 13 active members in the Jennett Finance Scholars Program. LOOKING AHEAD This fall, we are welcoming 25 members into the class of 2027. Eighteen are from Kansas, while the remaining come from other states across the country, including California, Colorado, and Minnesota. We look forward to this school year to continue Alpha Nu's traditions and successes that have been happening for decades. To any active members reading this, we are glad to have you back into the house for another year. To any alumni reading this, we are looking forward to adding on to the extensive amount of history and success that you have given us all. Finally, for any parents reading this, we hope you are looking forward to seeing your sons excel in one of the most meaningful and life-changing places in the world, Usher Mansion. Yours in _kai_, Fitz Horn '25 Chapter President (913) 703-8261 president@kansasbeta.org
