She was the daughter of the late John Francis Carpenter and Ruth Philbeck Carpenter. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Eli Harrison of Shelby, NC. A graveside service was held August 21, 2023, in the cemetery of Rosehill Memorial Park, which Rev. Richard Stroup offered words of encouragement. Forrest was born on March 4, 1939, to Maxwell Hoppes and Inez Canipe Hoppes of Polkville, NC. Mr. Hoppes served our country in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hoppes, his son, Todd Hoppes; four granddaugh- ters; his brother, Scott Hoppes; and sisters, Mary and Martha. Forrest is preceded in death by his son, Garret Hoppes, brother, David BARBARA ANN WEBB Barbara Ann Webb Mobley, age 65, passed away Monday, 21, 2023. Barbara was born in Morganton, NC on January 14, 1958. She was the daughter of Ruby Dale Webb and the late Donald Webb. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Ashlee "Pebbles" and her husband, Bo Burleson. Twenty three grandchildren, mother, Ruby Dale Webb; sister, Doris and her husband, Greg Cornish. BOBBY MOORE WHITE Bobby Moore White, age 95, of Shelby passed away peacefully on Thursday August 24, 2023. Bob was born in Shelby to the late C.C. and Daisy K. White in 1928. Mr. White served our coun- try in the U.S. Navy. Bob is survived by his wife, Joyce Nanney White, three sons: Scott White (Terry) of Shelby NC, Gary White (Kathy) of Simpsonville SC, and David White (Connie) of Atlanta GA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Sandra Wilson Catching, Karen Wilson Frye and husband Rick, Larry Wilson and wife Kathy, Alan Wilson and fiancée Cathy Smith, and Ann Wilson Payseur and husband David; fourteen grandchildren: four- teen great-grandchildren. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late Charles Frank Rhodes Sr. and Marie Boyce Rhodes and was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Rodgers and Toddy Rhodes, and his sis- ters, Ann Rodgers and Janet R.
