Matt Greenbaum '25, Peninsular Chapter's house improvement chairman, interned at Ford while taking Calculus III. He focused on ADAS research and development and still made time for benefiting the brotherhood by continuing to build out his LED Matrix project. Jake Herman '25 interned at GrubHub, where he implemented a feature enabling drivers to thank diners for their tips. Jake learned full- stack programming to build out the UI and backend aspects of this feature. Additionally, Jake connected with alumni within the software engineering industry to hear their advice for working within the industry, and he really appreciates the alumni's willingness to meet with him. Most of our rising seniors spent the most recent semester abroad. They were spread across Europe from Amsterdam to Prague but still came together to go on trips to Ibiza, Dublin, and more. Some of them still had the traveling bug this summer, as they took trips from Seattle to Utah's National Parks to LA. Lastly, the brothers visited each other in their home cities. A lot of our members explored Chicago and participated in activities such as paddleboarding and walking downtown. The undergraduates look forward to growing our brotherhood this semester, as initiation is a major focus. We believe that the University of Michigan's new policy of having a fall initiation period will increase our ability to secure a great pledge class. Additionally, we look forward to continuing to build the alumni/undergraduate relationship through dinners, events, and more.
