Congrats to all our Spring 2023 graduates! Brothers participate in UF's Dance Marathon! Brothers with members of Pi Beta Phi at our SandbOX philanthropy. PAGE 2 TAU TOPICS S pring 2023 was a great semester for the Tau brotherhood! Our Chapter thrived in all four of the pillars that represent a well- balanced fraternity. BROTHERHOOD The first pillar was served through our now-annual Brotherhood Basketball Tournament. This weekendlong, alcohol-free event featured over 100 brothers in teams of three participating in a friendly competition. We hope to continue to grow this tradition and are looking for interested alumni participants! (We are also looking to name the tournament after a notable Tau alumnus; please contact me with any suggestions.) We are proud to congratulate more than 50 Spring graduates as they enter their alumni journey. At our senior sendoff dinner prepared by Chef Christo, I urged these brothers to stay connected with and involved in our vast alumni network. I ask that you join me in wishing every one of them success in their next Chapter! SERVICE AND PHILANTHROPY Tau Chapter's two headliner philanthropy events, our yearly Dream Girl search and SandbOX, raised thousands of dollars for several organizations, including the USO. We are looking to grow these events both in participation and in funds raised. Next year, we will be seeking sponsors and alumni communication and involvement. Brothers also joined several different community service projects with the local Boys and Girls Club. INVOLVEMENT This was a huge semester for campus activities. Brothers Luke Holderman '20 and VP Jack Levy '21 were nominated and confirmed as chairman and controller (respectively) of Student Government Productions, and Ryan Klein '21 was appointed as associate producer - hospitality for Gator Growl 2023. Taus also held positions in Florida Blue Key, Student Senate, Gator Party Campaign Exec., Gator Wealth and Asset Management, Dance Marathon, Tamid, Student Finance Group, IFC, Florida Cicerones, and more! (The summer has also been a great one for the brotherhood's professional development. Members held internships at companies like Oreo, KPMG, MGL, RSM, Rialto Consulting, ADT, FanDuel, and many more!) Coming into the Fall semester, we are launching a new committee called the "Brotherhood Professional Activities Committee." As the centerpiece of a new initiative to support brothers in their post-graduation planning, this new committee is looking for alumni participation in many different forms, including alumni presentations; please reach out to me if you would like to get involved! SOCIAL Socially, we completed our goal of courting the Kappa Delta sorority for Homecoming 2023. Tau also hosted a great Gators Spring football tailgate and traveled to New Orleans for our yearly formal! LOOKING FORWARD Our Chapter has many great goals for the semester ahead! We hope to welcome at least 40 new pledges and host six great Gators tailgates (including a spectacular Homecoming). We can't wait for our biannual road trip to Louisiana and, of course, our annual chicken and waffles fundraiser!
