Shelter, they painted buildings, power washed
items, and did other work to help them out.
They lent their helping hands to Project

blankets to children who are ill or in need.
This is the third year of the camp, born out
of Roo's passion for giving back to others.
"This is not just my profession, but my heart
and my 'why' in this world," she noted.
Her nonprofit after school care and summer
camp regularly supports children and the
Rogers community through giving back.
"We started in July of 2020 and have given
well over $300,000 back to the community,"
she said. "We are a true nonprofit that invests
in our kiddos, families and team members."
The organizations themselves were "super
grateful and blessed to have the help. They
loved having our group there," Roo said.
"We enjoyed having them! Such sweet staff
and kiddos! Thank you for blessing us and bringing
them! We appreciate everything you are doing!" –

Summer may be over, but the lessons
learned and the difference these Kid Heroes
made will carry on.
"I have a strong belief children and adults
need to be taught how to give back. We
are all here to help each other in life," Roo
concluded. "We are all in this together."
