REFERENDUM 301 The Town of Quartzsite is accepting arguments on Referendum 301: Petition of Referendum: Repeal Town of Quartzsite Ordinance (23-01) section 30.09, Qualifi cation of Council Candidates, Sub Section (B). Arguments need to be presented to the Town Clerk by September 8, 2023 at 5pm. Requirements: No more than 300 words. Must include name, residence address, phone number, and signature *Sworn Statement **Must provide the argument in electronic format $75 proportionate fee for publication Any argument that is submitted that does not comply with the above requirements may not be included in the pamphlet. * Each argument fi led shall contain the sworn statement of each person sponsoring it. If the argument is sponsored by an organization, it shall contain the sworn statement of two executive offi cers of the organiza- tion or if sponsored by a political committee, it shall contain the sworn statement of the committee's chairperson or treasure. Sworn statement: "I declare under penalty of perjury that the forgoing information is true and correct and I am the sponsor of this argument advocating or oppos- ing this measure, question, or proposition." **Electronic format of the argument may be provided via email in Word format to townclerk@quartzsiteaz.org. PROPOSITION 401 The Town of Quartzsite is currently accepting arguments on Proposition 401: Expenditure limitation: A resolution proposing expenditures by the Town of Quartzsite, Arizona of a One-Time override of $1,100,000 in excess of the Town's expenditure limitation for the fi scal year ending June 30, 2025. Arguments need to be presented to the Town Clerk by September 14, 2023 at 5:00pm. Requirements: No more than 200 words. Must include Name, Residence Address, Phone Number, and Signature. *Sworn Statement **Must provide the argument in electronic format. Any argument that is submitted that does not comply with the above requirements may not be included in the pamphlet. The Town is requesting arguments be submitted by September 14, 2023 to have the arguments published in the publicity pamphlet.
