It's a time when nothing much gets accomplished because its just too darn hot … but not for Heidi Cook, Danielle Barber, and the team of Suna Bros. ey are in high gear mixing a refreshing sales and marketing mojito to prepare for the upcoming holiday season. Christmas in July "It's never too early to start planning for the holidays," explains Heidi. "We already have in-store events with our retailers scheduled for the rest of the year, and we tailor the marketing collateral for each store." "I've done four unique holiday marketing pieces this week alone!" Danielle chimes in. "Before I design them, I rely on Heidi's feedback to guide me as to what is trending in each particular store." Heidi adds, "SUNA is able to customize every campaign for each retailer – it is invaluable to be able to off er that service." Group Text One of Danielle's responsibilities is the social media for SUNA. "Everything I post," she begins, "will eventually be broadcasted all over the country." Heidi meticulously records the details of each piece then reaches out to everyone from store owners, buyers, sales associates, and stylists with videos and photographs. "Texting is the strongest method of communication," Heidi states. "It's a direct contact to each individual on a retailer's sales team, and then they can text their clients. It is eff ortless yet so effi cient." Fun Fact about those Dog Days Excluding the sun, Sirius is the brightest star in the sky and part of the constellation Cjor, which translates to "Greater Dog" and gives Sirius its canine nickname, the dog star. Ancient Romans marked the hottest days of the year with Sirius rising just before the sun, calling the time "dies caniculares," or days of the dog star, which eventually became, the dog days of summer.
