2 ALPHA TAU OMEGA M E N O F S E R V I C E Brothers Support Our Community and One Another ATΩ and Beta Theta Pi face off for the annual BeStrong29 Puck Challenge in Jefferson City. The charity hockey game raised over $15,000 for those affected by spinal cord injuries. Gamma Rhos gather for a paintball brotherhood event in October. New members of Gamma Rho get initiated in January 2023. A C A D E M I C S This year, the men of Alpha Tau Omega thrived in many ways. Our Chapter has seen consistent GPA growth in recent semesters, this spring being 3.21. Our Fall New Member Academic Scholarship award winners were Pilot Ascone '22 and Mick Ferbet '22, and our Spring New Member Academic Scholarship award winner was Zander Brueggemann '22. P H I L A N T H R O P Y Gamma Rho raised over $13,000 during our philanthropy week for Coyote Hill Foster Care Services in Columbia. We also played in the annual BeStrong29 Puck Challenge against Beta Theta Pi. Despite a narrow 7-5 loss, we were honored to raise over $15,000 for the BeStrong29 Foundation (run by Brother Mick Deaver '19), which helps those who suffer from paralysis and spinal cord injuries. B R O T H E R H O O D ATΩ enjoyed several great brotherhood events this year. The largest, of course, was Gamma Rho's annual cornjigger event. The weeklong celebration of brotherhood included several events such as a concert featuring country artist Sequoia Newland, pumpkin carving with Tri Delta, a Halloween social with other Greek affiliates, and a Halloween celebration at our East Campus House to conclude the week. Other events included paintball and bowling. We also had two golf tournaments this year. The first tournament was the DK Classic, held in memory of Brother Drew King '19. Cole Verhulst '21 and Michael Shanahan '20 won this year's tournament. The second was our Signature Event Golf Tournament, a philanthropy event for the MISS Foundation, which provides care and support to families who have lost the life of a loved one. C O M M U N I T Y For Greek Week this year, we were paired with Tri Delta to raise money for organizations like the Thompson Foundation and the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation. Overall, the MU Greek community donated 2,550 units of blood, over 36,000 cans of food, and $62,253 toward the previously mentioned foundations. Thank you for reading and for your support as alumni. We hope to see you at our Alumni Weekend for Mizzou Homecoming! Fraternally, Jon Pedrotti '21 Vice President
