Did you know "August" has two meanings.
It is the name of the eighth month of the
year. It also means respected and
important. For example, an august teacher
is someone other people admire. Do you
know an august teacher?
This month, Kid Scoop News goes to the
dogs (and cats!). Our pages talk
about dogs, the dog days of
summer, how to draw a dog
and even how dog poop can
pollute streams.
To make sure cats lovers aren't
upset, we have a page all about
black cats.
Good for you for reading this summer! Did
you know that kids who read 20 minutes a
day for fun are better readers than kids
who don't! If you need more to read, be
sure to visit your local library. The
librarians there know a LOT about finding
good books to read.
Happy Reading!
Happy August Readers!
Cats and dogs communicate
with their tails. What are these
animals saying? To find out,
add up the numbers next to
each animal. Match the answer
with the tail's message.
