his January, eight Washington
Alpha brothers traveled to San
Francisco, California, to attend Carlson
Leadership Academy. For the first time
in program history, all eight executive
officers were given the opportunity
to attend with a specialized track for
their position. This program, held in
multiple cities across the country,
gives new officers a boost of personal
leadership development. It focuses
on teaching the skills to help them
inspire brothers, manage a committee,
and follow through on their goals.
Officers build a supportive cohort of
brothers in their roles to network with
throughout the year.
Gaining Tools for Success at
Carlson Leadership Academy
Officers Travel to San Francisco for Transformative Experience
The executive board with their awards at the Carlson Leadership Academy in San Francisco, California.
They received the Donald C. McCleary Membership Development Award for demonstrating excellence
in the developmental process with the Balanced Man Program. Additionally, valued alumnus Micheal
Seraphin '04 was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus award for exemplary service to Washington Alpha.
