Campaign Status at a Glance As of June 20, 2023 Ini al Goal - $1 Million Raised - $1,063,683 Donors to Date - 344 S isters, we have an exciting update from Inspiring Tradition: The Campaign for Epsilon Iota! We have successfully reached our initial goal of $1 million! This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the generous support of our incredible alumnae. Your dedication to our sisterhood and commitment to improving the living conditions of current and future members is truly inspiring. This is a time for celebration in our sisterhood. House Director Marit worked diligently to prepare for the groundbreaking and the first steps of the house renovation, which took place on May 15. The process is going well so far, and we're eager for our donors to see the results. However, this is also a time to maintain our momentum and provide for the future of Epsilon Iota Chapter. Meeting our campaign goal shows what our sisterhood is capable of when we unite in support of a common cause! Construction on our beloved Kappa Delta house is underway, but we still have a long road ahead. As we eagerly await the completion of our home, we need your continued support to ensure that our active members have everything they need during this transitional period. Epsilon Iota is currently renting the Tri Sigma house for the 2023-2024 school year. Tri Sigma chose to unhouse its chapter for the upcoming year, and we were thrilled to be able to rent the house from them to keep our Kappa Delta members living together and enjoying their sisterhood while 606 Rollins is being renovated. However, this means we greatly need the financial contributions of our alumnae to help with the rent as well as other living expenses. Our focus now is to increase the number of individual donors who contribute to our cause. We currently have 344 donors, but we want as many Kappa Delta sisters as possible to give! Every dollar counts, and your personal contribution can make a tremendous impact. We encourage each one of you to consider making a donation, no matter how big or small. Together, we can meet the needs of our undergraduate members and provide for the future of our sisterhood. Here are some of the ways you can help: Visit mizkappadelta.causevox.com or scan the QR code below to make a donation and track our progress. Share the link to give on social media or within your personal network. Encourage your fellow alumnae and friends to get involved and support our cause. Will you join the 344 alumnae who have already committed to supporting the next generation of sisters? Increasing our number of donors and providing for our undergraduate members is a meaningful way for us to show that Kappa Delta's bonds remain strong. Even when time or distance separates us, this sisterhood will always call us home. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your unwavering support and dedication to our sisterhood. Love in AOT, Bridgid Smith Kinney '93 House Corporation President United for a Common Cause W hen Amy Garb Riley '97 was looking for the best sisterhood for her at Mizzou, she was drawn to Kappa Delta because she could feel the genuine love for the sorority and each other that the members shared. She also connected with the confidence and lack of judgment that existed within the chapter. "The women I met were talented, intelligent individuals with unique goals and a shared ideal to strive for that which is honorable, beautiful, and highest," she recalled. CONTINUING THE LEGACY Amy had a fantastic experience in Epsilon Iota and was inspired to help continue the chapter's legacy by giving to Inspiring Tradition: The Campaign for Epsilon Iota. She not only wanted to provide an opportunity for young Kappa Deltas to experience the same joy she did as an undergraduate, but she also wanted to honor the memory of her pledge sister, Vivian Leigh Gramlich '97. "Not only did Leigh touch the lives of her pledge sisters, but she was also beloved by women throughout the chapter," Amy shared. Amy encouraged her sisters to get involved, and together, they made a gift to a memorial fund to name a part of the remodeled house for Leigh. LOVING LIFE Epsilon Iota Chapter provided Amy with a strong foundation before she entered the real world after college. For the past few years, she has been a copywriter for Best Buy. Most of the articles she's written are the first organic result for certain topics in Google, which is an accomplishment she is proud of. Through detailed analytics, she could measure how much revenue was earned through customers engaging with that content and completing the purchasing funnel process. While her work has been rewarding, in February, Amy decided it was time for something new. She is now enjoying quality time with her family, especially her eldest daughter who leaves for the University of Arizona in August (she will be roommates with the daughter of Amy's sorority sister, Heather Hays Molitor '96!). Amy is also loving the warm, sunny spring days in Minnesota while she can. She is currently training to run the Twin Cities Marathon in the fall since it's been 20 years since her last 26.2-mile race. Amy continues to cherish the lifelong friendships she made in Kappa Delta and recently took a trip to Mexico with her best friend, Sarah Krech Marsh '98. "We sunbathed, read hardbound books, and enjoyed uninterrupted conversations. It was glorious." Whether it's the general fund, the efforts to name the kitchen after our dear Stan, or Leigh's naming opportunity, the feeling you'll get from being a part of making our chapter stronger is something you don't want to miss out on."
