Both Steve and Debbie are retired Army lieutenant colonels with a combined military service record of 48 years. They also are longtime and generous community supporters. In 1996, after Steve's retirement as an aviator and comptroller, they opened the Westwood Shopping Center store. Debbie was a hospital dietitian for the VA health system and the U.S. Army. Steve, a 1976 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, served all over the world in places to include Fort Liberty, Korea and Egypt. He served in Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Debbie served at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Fort Liberty and Fort Dix, N.J., where she and Steve met. She remained in Fayetteville and took care of their two children while Steve was frequently deployed. The UPS Store offers a wide array of services that include shipping, scanning, freight, U.S. Postal Service mailing, mailbox rentals, notary, packing, engraving, Amazon and Spectrum returns, and much more. The busy, state-of-the-art print operation produces fliers, business cards, blueprints, booklets, banners, interior and exterior signs of all sizes, and beautiful color acrylic photos, to name a few. The Milburns love to create military plaques, trophies, engraved drinkware and wood gift items. Stop in and ask about military, first responder, AAA, AARP and student/teacher discounts. Poki Bowl C. and Viola Angel, owners of Poki Bowl, turned their dream into reality, bringing something new to their town. With 2½ years of effort, they overcame construction challenges and navigated the COVID pandemic. C., an Army veteran of 13 years, found inspiration in their military experience and love for their nation. Their goal was to establish a family restaurant, ensuring a legacy for their three children. Their son's autism diagnosis fueled their determination to succeed, providing the care and support he needs. The military's support in their lives shaped their identities as first-generation immigrants. Now, they give back to their community, serving Fort Liberty service members and local first responders. 2727 Freedom Parkway Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28314
