"I would say to young farmers to remember to try and keep a work/ life balance. It is easy to get burned out because farming is so demanding. ere's never really a day off because there is always something to do. It is important to love what you do, but also take time off to recharge." Travis and Ashley have three sons, Griffin, 12, Owen, 9, and Evan, 7. "Our sons are very active and participate in sports and school activities," Travis said. "ey are also very present and active in our farming operation. ey help harvest, do farm chores, sell produce and help plant. Our oldest two sons are both in the EAST program at their schools. EAST stands for Education Accelerated by Service and Technology." "Most of our life is spent at the farm," Ashley said. "One of the most memorable times for me was the beginning of strawberry season about three or four years ago. It was our opening day and there were cars lined up in the ditch and people standing at the gate waiting for us to open. at year was when it really felt like we had established something that people loved.
