e Washington Alpha Delt 4 A uthenticity is everything. From his fraternity experience to working with Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf, Niko Carste '25 recognizes the importance of staying genuine and being yourself. As he went through recruitment, Niko found a down-to-earth group of young men in Alpha Delta Phi that allowed him to do just that. Fraternal Bonds "Everyone has been so supportive and there to help me out whenever I'm stressed or need encouragement," Niko said, appreciating the connections he has formed with Brothers. While a busy schedule full of travel keeps Niko on the move, Washington Chapter provides a foundation of mutual trust and reassurance. It's not all business—Niko enjoys making memories with Brothers whenever possible. From last year's spring break road trip to Newport, camping in the Redwoods, and spending a night in downtown San Francisco, Niko's fraternity experience is all about strengthening bonds. Career Opportunities Niko's work behind a camera has come a long way since he began filming as a high school freshman. He started finding opportunities, like working with local college football players, in his hometown of Sammamish and is now proud to work with organizations like UW's football team, the Seattle Seahawks, and the Seattle Kraken. "One thing has always led to another," Niko mentioned, especially after he found the chance to work with DK Metcalf during COVID. As social media marketability for athletes is constantly growing, Niko is working alongside DK to share his story to the world. Filming Football "We're working on creating a Last Dance documentary of our own to one day be able to look back on and have all this priceless footage. It's honestly a ton of fun. I get to stay, go out, and travel with DK as well as go to all the Seahawks games. It's a lot of work, but it's so personal— which is what makes it so rewarding." Niko's opportunities with DK and the Seahawks even took him all the way to Munich, Germany, where Seattle played a football game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. "[It] was the most surreal event I've ever experienced; the energy the entire week with the international fans was so special, and filming Tom Brady (the GOAT) as he played was a bucket list item I got to check off." Looking Ahead Still a sophomore, Niko looks forward to growing his bonds with Alpha Delta Phi Brothers and sharing experiences throughout college. His Brotherhood and family are an invaluable support system that continues to push Niko to be the best version of himself. "Shoutout to Jen!" Niko at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.
