Rho Chapter Strand of Pearls 2 R ho Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Phi had a very successful year! With events such as cookie decorating, going to Dave and Buster's, and more, our chapter is finally making its way back to normalcy after the pandemic. COMMUNITY OUTREACH In November, former Vice President of Philanthropy Jamie Stockton '21 conducted a very successful Red Week where our chapter raised almost $5,000. We hosted different fundraising events all week and sold hundreds of grilled cheese sandwiches outside our house for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation. In February, we celebrated Pink Day and sold candy grams for the Sharsheret Organization. In March, we raised $18,000 for the same philanthropy. Vice President of Philanthropy Talia Moses '22 hosted our annual Phi Trotters basketball tournament that allowed our members (and many more!) to compete in a fun basketball bracket for Sharsheret. ALUMNAE ENGAGEMENT Due to COVID-19, our chapter was unable to celebrate its centennial in 2021. However, we were able to host a lovely luncheon event for collegians and alumnae to celebrate this amazing achievement. GROWING THE SISTERHOOD Our spring semester started with Ohio State's primary recruitment. We successfully introduced 60 new members into our chapter. Following Bid Day, we taught them the importance and history of our Rho. They then had events such as a presentation night that allowed them to connect and bond with one another. The new member class also received their Big sisters, which was a blast for all involved. These women were initiated on March 6, and we were thrilled to have past legacies join in this special moment. EMPHASIZING SELF-CARE At the end of March, Vice President of Programming Alexis Mauriello '22 planned a successful AEPhit Week. Our chapter participated in cycling, yoga, and Zumba classes while promoting physical and mental health. Rho Chapter has so many more exciting events and opportunities planned for the rest of the year. We are looking forward to our exciting formal as well as Sorority and Fraternity Life Greek Week where we can have friendly competitions with other Greek organizations on campus. We cannot wait for all the fun coming up throughout the rest of the year! LML, Shelby Fisher '22 President SISTERS FOCUS ON GROWTH AND SERVICE Rho's Rho's Recent Events Recent Events
