Gamma Gamma Capital Campaign Update A s of March 2023, the Capital Campaign has reached a total of $3.161M in donations and pledges, and 68% of that money has already been received. In fact, while many made one-time contribu- tions, for those that made multi-year pledge commitments over 55% of those have already been fulfilled, many earlier than originally com- mitted! We are very focused on the collections process, and while in any given month only a handful (or less) of brothers for various rea- sons are delinquent versus their pledge payment timing, Brother Chuck Sigman, '80, follows up with each brother to help resolve any issue and ensure pledges are being fulfilled in a timely fashion. We are continuing to pay down the construction loan as planned, and the remainder of that loan will convert to a 15-year mortgage with very favorable interest rate terms in late 2026. Addi- tionally, we are on track to have a robust Capital Fund (~$350K) which the Housing Corporation Board will be able to use for unfore- seen capital needs to keep the house as a competitive asset well into the foreseeable future. The Capital Fund purpose and details were discussed in detail in the Fall 2022 Tau Talk issue. This summer the donor plaques for brothers who committed $25K or more to the Building on Ron Reeves' Legacy Campaign will be permanently mounted throughout the house, and the donor tree recognizing everyone who contributed $5K or more will be unveiled at Homecoming in late September. Brother Bill Daugherty, '87, who led the initial phase of the campaign, has worked tirelessly to com- plete the donor recognition to recognize those that contributed the most to this extraordinary fund-raising effort. If you have not had a chance to see the completed renova- tions, hopefully you will get back in late September for 2023 Home- coming to see it in person. And while 31% of our alumni base has contributed to the campaign so far, we really hope to get to $3.2M by September to fund a few additional scope items that the chapter and the Housing Corporation Board believe need to get done and just were not part of the original project scope (and ensure we have the construction loan paid down and the right size Capital Fund available in the future). If you are one of the 69% of alumni who have not yet contributed and are interested in helping get us to our $3.2M target, please contact either campaign co-chair Rob Banerjee (ineedatrain@yahoo.com or 740-816-2784) or Bob Pease (robertpease4178@gmail.com or 812-236-2500) for details on how to donate. Our sincerest thanks again to the 334 brothers and friends who have already contributed. The impact that has made on the now 55-year-old house named after our beloved brother and long-time chapter advisor Ron Reeves is just extraordinary!
