Congratulations to La Paz County Sheriff Chief Deputy David Gray for completing the Department of Homeland Security Leadership Academy, session 16 held at the Federal Law Enforcement Train- ing Center in Glynco, Georgia. Chief Deputy Gray was nominated to at- tend this training through the Small and Rural Law Enforcement Execu- tive Association, Chief Deputy Gray currently serves on the Board of Governors for SRLEEA. The DHS- LA is a federally funded training program for senior law enforcement offi cials and executives from state, local, and tribal agencies located in all 50 states and US territories. This class also had the 1st international student from the Kosovo Police. Class 16 had a total of 28 students with a total of 656 years combined Law Enforcement experience. The 16th Session of the DHSLA was held from April 24 - May 4, 2023.
