Chi omega Χ Ω 3 C hi Omega doesn't just offer an elevated college experience for members—the sisterhood builds character and instills loyalty for a lifetime. As a new, out-of-state student at OSU, Maycee Jones '15 immediately found comfort and authenticity in Tau Beta. Convinced by her brother to take on recruitment, Maycee began on a path that would positively shape her personal development. "Every day, I was learning something new from someone and being challenged to grow in all areas of my life," Maycee said. She enjoyed everything from sisterhood events and Homecoming to the more intimate memories like camping out with a few sisters on Library Lawn to having a front-row spot for College GameDay. Meanwhile, Maycee was also learning how to be a professional for life after college. "I think my time in Tau Beta could be considered the greatest influence on my professional development," Maycee shared. "I remember my very first semester as a new member thinking, 'Wow, I don't know what I want to do or be, but I know I want to be like these women.'" Being surrounded by successful women was a major inspiration for Maycee, and she was honored by the chances to serve as facilities manager and chapter president. Maycee was so nervous about trying to become a national leadership consultant she hardly told anyone about her application. Little did she know, her Tau Beta sisters prepared an envelope full of supportive notes to hand Maycee before she left for her interview. "It meant so much to me to have the support of my favorite people. I still have so many of those notes in my office at headquarters!" Maycee got the job, serving for two years before becoming a regional director at Chi Omega's headquarters in Memphis. Maycee continues to work for the sisterhood as director of Chapter development. "It feels so surreal to manage the position I started in, and I don't take this role lightly." For active Tau Beta sisters, Maycee hopes they lean into the experience as much as possible. She formed an entire career out of her devotion to Chi Omega, and Maycee is thankful to keep in touch with so many alumnae sisters to this day. "Wherever life takes you, you can find comfort in knowing Chi Omega will be there to make it just that much more enjoyable—through the friendships, networking, and so much more." Maycee enjoys returning to Stillwater whenever possible, and she enjoys spending spare time with her siblings and their families. While both her siblings went to OSU, their spouses attended other Big 12 schools, making game days that much more exciting. You can connect with Maycee at maycee.jones@ChiOmega.com. Serving the Sisterhood Maycee Jones '15 Remains Devoted to Chi Omega G rowing up, Margaret Gray Gall '72 heard stories from her mother, Patricia Herrell Gray, Pi Delta, New Mexico State University, about her Chi Omega sisters and what fun they had together. She had even had her wedding reception at the Chi Omega house! Margaret always looked up to her mother and the relationships she had with her sisters, and she knew she wanted to be a part of this wonderful group herself one day. Despite being extremely shy growing up, Margaret took a leap of faith that would forever change her life. She moved to Stillwater, enrolled at OSU, and pledged Chi Omega, where she gained newfound confidence and a sense of belonging. "I made lifelong friends and experienced all the new opportunities that both Greek life and university life had to offer," Margaret said. "In a sense, I was able to blossom in that new environment with the support of my new sisters in Chi Omega." Upon graduating, Margaret moved to Dallas, Texas, where her involvement with Tau Beta was limited—she lived far away and was busy raising her family. Luckily, an invitation came from one of her sisters to join the Chi Omega alumnae group in Dallas. "I loved the group immediately and became involved in the alumnae chapter as well as the philanthropic project, Chi Omega Christmas Market." Margaret has held many positions on the alumnae board, including president, Chi Omega Christmas Market chairman, recruitment advisor at SMU, and personnel advisor—a truly meaningful experience to her. "I can honestly say that I grew in so many ways from being involved with the Chapter daily," Margaret said. "It was one of hardest, yet most rewarding experiences of my life." She has also volunteered serval times on the national level. From the National Convention leadership team to decorations committee chairman for Convention in San Antonio, Texas, she is proud to lend a hand when she can. Margaret has been an advisor for the Chi Omega Foundation and witnessed how generous and philanthropic Chi Omegas can be. "Thanks to our wonderful donors, we have such a strong sisterhood affording many opportunities for growth and development," Margaret said. "I enjoy my thank-you calls to sisters who have chosen to give to the Chi Omega Foundation." Family is important to Margaret, and she is lucky enough to share the Chi O sisterhood with them. In addition to her mother, Margaret's sister, Lanet Gray Greenhaw '73 is also a Chi Omega, as is her daughter, Lindsay Karen Gall, Rho Epsilon, Texas Christian University. Margaret also has a wonderful husband, Chuck, two sons, a daughter- in-law, and three precious grandchildren. "I enjoy my family and friends so much," Margaret said. "I also enjoy traveling to new places and old favorites—Italy is always the best." You can connect with Margaret at margaretgall1952@gmail.com.
