ΔΔΔ page 3 T ri Delta was a family among the thousands of students at Mizzou. It provided a wonderful support network and lifelong friendships. I loved every part of it and served as scholarship chairman during my sophomore year. The leadership skills gained during my time in the house would help shape my career. I majored in journalism intending to go to law school, but I fell in love with the profession and decided to pursue it as a career. I started working at an advertising agency in St. Louis and then went on to the Home Builders Association for 26 years, where I served as Senior Vice President of Public Affairs for most of those years. After the pandemic, I decided to follow my dream of owning my own business and built two locations of IMAGE Studios, a luxury salon suite concept. As a first-time entrepreneur, I loved the idea of owning a business that provides space for other female entrepreneurs to run their own beauty and wellness businesses. I met my husband, Mike, while we were both students at Mizzou and were paired for Homecoming. We'll be married 30 years this summer and have two children. Kate (22) will graduate from Indiana University in May and is moving to New York to work for JP Morgan. Daniel (19) is a freshman at Mizzou studying business. We love to travel together, and I also enjoy being a part of FIG St. Louis, a female investment group that provides mentoring and funding for female-led start-ups. I got to visit the campus in fall 2022 to celebrate 30 years since graduation with my pledge class. I'm in touch with many Tri Delta sisters, but it was fun to all be together in Columbia. The house looks amazing but has the same feel as when we lived there. I lived in the house for three years, which I'm sure is unusual now, but it prepared me to work with a lot of different personalities throughout my career! It's such a pleasure to see the chapter thriving and the members starting their own new traditions. R egistration for Primary Recruitment 2023 opens May 1. Please encourage any high school graduates you know who are interested in joining a sorority at Mizzou to register early! References for potential new members are welcome and so helpful for Delta Xi in pledging a strong new member class. We need your support! Don't sit on the sidelines; get involved and meet as many people as possible. Connect with your professors and network with alumnae. Your education is important, but the ability to understand and connect with others is more important. What are some of your favorite Tri Delta memories? Bid Day is at the top of the list. We were the last pledge class to experience Greek Town shut down for the biggest party of the year, and Spolioli with the ATOs was always a favorite. And I'll never forget the Fifth Down Game vs. Colorado when the Tri Delta cook got arrested for throwing oranges on Faurot Field!
