he Professional Service Association (PSA) was founded in 1989 by appliance
repair professional Ron Sawyer, who had a passion for helping fellow
professionals succeed and saw a need for an organization that would provide
support, training, and resources. Ron established PSA with a goal of advancing the
appliance repair industry and helping professionals thrive.
Over the years, PSA has grown to become one of the largest, most respected
organizations for appliance repair professionals with members across the U.S. and
North America.
One of PSA's key initiatives is the certification program, which includes Certified
Appliance Professional (CAP) and Master Certified Appliance Professional (MCAP)
designations. These certifications recognize the knowledge, skills, and experience of
appliance repair professionals and help consumers make informed choices about who
to hire for their appliance repair needs.
Also worth mentioning is the PSA Master Certified Appliance Professional (MCAP)
certification, a higher-level endorsement that recognizes the most experienced and
knowledgeable appliance repair professionals.
To become a Master Certified Appliance Professional, technicians must already have
earned the Certified Appliance Professional (CAP) certification and must have several
years of experience in the field. In addition, they must pass an advanced exam that
covers a wider range of topics and requires a deeper understanding of the appliance
repair industry.
The Master Certified Appliance Professional certification is a prestigious designation
that demonstrates a technician's mastery and recognizes the expertise, knowledge,
and experience that set them apart.
In addition to the benefits of CAP certification, the Master Certified Appliance
Professional designation adds access to more advanced training and support, and a
higher level of recognition and credibility in the industry.
Whether you're a seasoned technician or starting out, the Master Certified Appliance
Professional designation is a valuable asset that will help you succeed in the appliance
repair industry.
In addition to its certification program, PSA offers a range of other member resources
and benefits, including business resources, industry events, and access to a network
of professionals. With its commitment to advancing the appliance repair industry and
supporting its members, PSA has become a valuable resource for all
appliance repair professionals.
Whether you're a seasoned technician or just starting out, PSA can
help you succeed in the demanding appliance repair industry.
