H H H i n recent months, Xi Chapter has achieved many notable successes. Last fall, Xi won the Homecoming competition by participating in various campus activities, including a banner competition. Earlier this spring, Sigma Kappa was the overall winner of Rock Chalk Revue with Kappa Delta. (Check out the full story on page 4.) Additionally, our recruiters have been working hard to welcome new members to our chapter through continuous open bidding; we've welcomed 12 new members so far. We threw a Sweets-themed Informal Bid Day in March to celebrate all the new members. On the academic front, Xi is very proud of our women for their academic accomplishments in the fall semester. We accumulated an overall GPA of 3.52! In February, President Maddie Hartley '21, Vice President of Standards and Values Reagyn Goscinski '21, Vice President of New Member Education Ashley Plowman '21, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access Chairman Brynn Bertie '22 attended the Emerging Leaders Conference in Indianapolis. At this conference, they focused on enhancing gratitude within the chapter, ensuring members feel valued, creating a greater sense of belonging, and combatting imposter syndrome for officers. The executive board is looking forward to focusing on these things within the chapter this coming year. Philanthropic endeavors remain a top priority for us. We hosted our Café Sigma Kappa event on April 14 and raised money for the Sigma Kappa Foundation and four other philanthropies we support. Our chapter also participated in a game of Assassins with our neighbor, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, this spring. Members paid an entry fee and tracked down and eliminated their assigned targets using a water squirter. This was a fun event that also raised money for philanthropies! In Sigma Kappa, Phoebe Evans '21 Vice President of Alumnae Relations Prioritizing Productive Sisterhood Active Chapter Stays Connected and Involved Addie Driscoll '22 matches with her mom on initiation day. Emme Henley '21, Megan Schalley '21, and Sydney Clark '21 celebrate KU's advancement to a Bowl game.
