We are excited to welcome five new sisters into our chapter as we wrap up con nuous open recruitment. It is such a blessing to share the values of Gamma Phi as we con nue to grow our chapter. To celebrate receiving the 1874 Award, the AHC Board and our wonderful chef, Heather, organized an ice cream sundae bar for all to enjoy. The new executive council has been working hard to incorporate new, fresh ideas at Sigma Chapter. This spring, we held our first freshman and junior sisterhood event at Lawrence's own Royal Crest Lanes for some bowling. We also organized a chapter event to paint tote bags and connect with family trees! Sisterhood Chairman Hunter Neal '21 shared, "It is so special to connect the freshman pledge class with their bigs, grandbigs, and great- grandbigs. I love planning events where we get together across pledge classes and really get to connect with one another while doing a fun craft!" In the beginning of March, we hosted a social for St. Patrick's Day. The theme was "Lucky Charm," and members had a blast dressing in green and socializing at a new local Lawrence spot! We are excited to have a formal at a new venue this April as well. Later in the month, we were paid a visit from Gamma Phi Beta Collegiate Consultant Macy Dykes, Kennesaw State '19. We had so much fun ge ng to know our sister from the Zeta Omega Chapter. Administra ve Vice President Faith Kelly '20 said, "It was so awesome to meet a sister from Georgia. We loved having her visit and showing her what makes Sigma special!" In other news, the chapter has once again excelled in academic achievement, placing fourth in the Panhellenic grade report. This spring, we have priori zed study hours, grade checks, community service, and philanthropy to increase campus involvement and personal growth. In April, we were excited to host our annual Moonball event, with this year's sport being basketball. House Manager Hayley Nielson '21 was excited to coach her own team this year: "It's something I have wanted to do since I was a freshman and such a fun way to support Girls on the Run!" All in all, the chapter has had such a fun semester. We are excited for warm weather and yard ac vi es, new member ini a on, and watching our seniors walk The Hill. I feel so blessed to be a part of such an amazing, diverse, and outstanding group of young women.
