Her mother-in-law, sister, and daughter are all Phi Mu. Barbara was on the committee that established the Chapter (Alpha Upsilon) at McNeese in Lake Charles. At 94, she is no longer active in the alumnae group. Barbara resides in Lake Charles, La. Email: brgayle2@gmail.com Nelda Mitchell Jasper '55 has been married for 61 years, and she still plays tennis, line dances, and tap dances at 86 years old. Nelda resides in Houston, Texas. Becky Baker Moran '65 enjoyed a fulfilling career. She was an international flight attendant for Pan Am World Airways for 17 years before moving to United Airlines, where she was a flight attendant for 18 years. She later worked as a substitute teacher at Los Angeles Unified School. Alongside her career, Becky has been a member of many organizations. Becky resides in San Pedro, Calif. She loves her job. Susan has six grandchildren: two boys and four girls. She loves attending the Tiger Band reunion, as she was a Tigerette (twirler) and loves being back on the field. Alumnae Update Angela Becnel '83 worked in the advertising and marketing industries, as well as newspaper journalism, as an editor. She wrote articles for LSU's magazine publications, including the current Roux and LSU Alumni magazines. For 37 years, Angela has worked as a group fitness instructor. She has a son, Chris, and spends most of her free time with her two grandsons. She currently lives in Lafayette, La. Her daughter was invited to sing the national anthem for LSU athletics across all sports, singing in the same arenas where Michelle sang the anthem as Miss LSU 1988. Her daughter, Elizabeth, was invited while still in high school to sing at Alex Box Stadium for three games for LSU baseball. Michelle lives in Mandeville, La. Her son is a senior at LSU this year and will graduate in chemical engineering in May, while her daughter recently started at LSU with plans to go to vet school. She will be going through recruitment this fall and they are so excited. Jennifer resides in Sterlington, La. Melissa served as VP of membership in 2017. She is also a member of AG Bell Association for children who are deaf and hard of hearing. Melissa resides in Tomball, Texas. On that journey, Karrie ended up working for one of the top casting offices in LA and had the privilege of casting some amazing films. Two years in, she booked the lead role in a Netflix series, Gentefied. Karrie is currently in the process of producing a new series, which she will also act in, and hopes to film in Louisiana.
