The Kappa Chapter Tradition at 1433 1 B oom, Boom! Doesn't it seem like just yesterday we were receiving bids from Theta or walking down the hill from class to our beloved Theta house? Who could have known the impact that Theta would have on each and every one of us? Theta gave us some of our best memories, countless lifelong friendships, and experiences we will always treasure. How would your life be different without Theta? As the first Greek-letter fraternity known among women, our founders believed in the potential of young women and sought to create a space for us to have a positive impact on the world. We are confident they would be proud of our chapter. Our focus on scholarship, philanthropy, and leadership has benefited over 2,000 women who've shared our home over the last 142 years. We are calling on you, our Theta sister, to Build on Excellence at 1433. We need to maintain a safe and desirable sorority house to enhance the experience of our collegiate members and support the heritage and future of our chapter. "When I pledged eta, I heard 'eta for a LIFEtime,' but I never could have anticipated how eta would impact me throughout my LIFE. I loved my years at KU, from my pledge class walkout at Grand Lake to house manager duties and everything in between. New roommates three times a year, parties and party pics, playing cards with our house mom before dinners at the house, and so much more! I wish the same fondness for future etas. e house was perfect for me—back in the day. It's time to renovate for generations to come." –Lisa Boerger Ledom '83, Facility Corporation Board Co-President
