SIGMA CHI FRATERNITY • OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY • SPRING 2023 Inside • Honoring a Century p. 2 • Business and Brotherhood p. 3 • Generosity Makes a Difference p. 3 • Reunion and Golf p. 4 The Sig The Sig Scroll Scroll G amma Delta has hit the ground running in 2023. Five spring recruits have been pinned as pledges and have begun their pledge process under Magister Adam Roy '25, including traditions and activities such as "The Man in the Glass." The newly elected candidates for the 2023 executive team have started their term in office, and I am excited to lead Gamma Delta alongside these fine young men! The month of February was especially monumental for our Chapter. A large group of brothers attended our province's annual meeting at Tulsa University. Also, Gamma Delta celebrated its 100th anniversary with multitudes of alumni in Stillwater! Homecoming 2023 planning has already begun, and Sigma Chi will partner with the ladies of Alpha Chi Omega. Many brothers are also working with the ladies of Pi Beta Phi on an upcoming Varsity Revue performance. We are beyond happy to work with these sororities as social pairings! As we look forward to the rest of the calendar year, Gamma Delta has developed our annual strategic plan for improving our Chapter. Our main goals are as follows: • We expect to place top three in Greek life at Oklahoma State for overall GPA. I have developed scholarship teams of brothers based on GPA ranges. These scholarship teams will help us reach our goal of a higher overall GPA as brothers hold one another accountable in becoming better students. • Pairing with the Sigma Chi Huntsman Cancer Research Institute, we are striving to raise $50,000 for the organization. Last year, we broke the $30,000 mark. With all our brothers' dedication, we truly believe we can break the $50,000 milestone for this great cause within our Fraternity. • To strengthen the brotherhood of our Fraternity, we expect to plan more brotherhood events and bonding experiences. Our exceptional brotherhood is something the Gamma Delta Chapter prides itself on. We are excited to only further this amazing group of men in the 2023 year.
