My kids go to school in the same schools I did - and even have some of the same teachers! We love to ex- plore the walking trails around town and kayak on City Lake. Siloam Springs is a special place, and I love having the opportunity to share that with new businesses and new families moving to town. Q: What do you think makes Siloam Springs special? There's still a small town, welcoming feel to Siloam Springs. When I have friends and family come visit, they feel it too, and they want to come back. From the small locally-owned business- es, to the outdoor activities we have, to our beautiful downtown, and everything in between, you just can't beat this community. While we continue to see Si- loam Springs grow, the charming things I love about this town are still there. You can walk through downtown and people wave when you pass. You can still go to lunch on a Sunday after church, and run into lots of people that you know. I can't think of a better community to live, work, and play! Q: What's your personal fa- vorite thing about the Dogwood Festival? I love catching up with peo- ple that I run into at the Festival. Whether it's been a couple of days or a couple of years since I've seen them, I always enjoy seeing familiar faces. So be sure to stop by the Chamber tent and say hi when you're at the Festival! Q: What's one thing you would like people to know about the festival? The Dogwood Festival is always evolving. I've heard peo- ple say "If you've been to one Dogwood Festival, you've been to them all" but that's simply not true! While the Festival has been around for 48 years, and we continue to have the staples that are "always there," every year there are new booths, new food vendors, and new entertainment and events! This year, almost half the vendors this year are first time vendors! There is a group of fabulous people that work hard to make sure that every year the Festival is a success - so come out and see us!
