12 | 2023 Gravette Community Guide third thursdays a hit on main Street By Karen Rice ird ursday, the fun, monthly event on Main Street, is in full swing for the season in Gravette. e event features booths set up along Main Street with vendors from across Northwest Arkansas, Main Street businesses staying open late, musical entertainment, and fun for the whole family. e event is held the third ursday of every month from 4-7 p.m. through October. e wide variety of ird ursday offerings include jewelry, fragrances, personal care products, arts and cras, food and drink. Folks can drop by Lagniappe, Main Street's Cajun restaurant, or pop on over to the food court on Highway 59 to sample some food truck fare. It's a great opportunity to see what's happening on Main Street, connect with friends and neighbors, and enjoy great weather, shopping and mingling outdoors. e event, sponsored by the Gravette Chamber of Commerce, began in July 2021 and participation has grown steadily since then. Gravette Chamber treasurer Sundee Hendren says she hopes for about 30-40 vendors to participate this year. A recent ird ursday featured members of the Old Town String Band providing musical entertainment in front of the Chamber office, local sidewalk art, and special library events and sign-ups. Some of the vendors setting up booths and tables this season include: • Fat Chop Creations – towels, buckets, custom printed items • Grammy's Cra s – towels, pan carriers, microwave bowl holders • Creations by Davis – selling jewelry, freshies, wax melts, candy bouquets • Boston Mountain Candles – candles, natural products • Parmelee Homestead Creations – jams, jellies, apple butter, homemade goods • Wandering Mom Art – unique art items, glass, wood resin Many of the businesses will be offering discounts and ird ursday special deals.
