When her own husband was stationed in Germany, she visited some of the places where her granddad had taken photos, including a liberated concentration camp where she replicated his image. 'I knew in that moment that I wanted to do this; I wanted to be a photographer,' she says. '… I knew I wanted to be a storyteller.' Today, she's telling stories with an emphasis on fashion, capturing models on the runway for posterity. Writer Jami McLaughlin chronicles Holly Hulse's journey.
