MAKING THE MOST OF OUR TIME TOGETHER Sisterhood Starts at Home Sisterhood Starts at Home H ello and happy spring! Mississippi Beta's semester is off to a busy start. We are so excited to have our beautiful home at 642 Rebel Drive finally finished! From eating meals together to hosting chapter and sisterhood events, having the house as a place to gather has made our sisterhood so much stronger. We are extremely grateful to be fully operational at 642 Rebel Drive! This semester, we were able to host our first chapter meeting at home since 2020. The Pi Phi house is home to 68 live-in members who are enjoying every second of Mississippi Beta life. WHAT HAVE WE BEEN DOING? We are so proud of the accomplishments of our members. Several women have been accepted to nursing, medical or law school programs, and Mississippi Beta received recognition for the most improved GPA out of all Panhellenic chapters at the end of the fall semester. Our members in the Honors College are defending their theses, and multiple Pi Phis were nominated for the annual Who's Who list, which recognizes students for outstanding academics and involvement with the university. We have members involved in organizations all over campus. Our members serve on the executive boards of the Student Activities Association, Grove Grocery, Rebelthon, Big Event and many more. WHAT ARE OUR PLANS? We are busy planning for one of the most anticipated events of the year, Pi Phi Pizookies, benefitting Pi Beta Phi Foundation and local reading initiatives. This will be the first event we are hosting at the house since the renovations have been completed. Another highlight of this semester is facilitating Champions Are Readers ® in coordination with the Leapfrog after-school program. Watching our members live out the value of Philanthropic Service to Others is so rewarding. WHEN CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE YOU? We can't wait to see what the rest of the year holds for Mississippi Beta, and we hope to see all of our alumnae in Oxford soon!
