a group of teens as we relaunch our Teen
Advisory group. We have begun visiting
the Siloam Springs Senior Activity Center
every other week with a collection of
items to check out, to visit with library
staff, and get tech assistance with online
library resources.
Anyone who lives within the city
limits of Siloam Springs or has Siloam
Springs utilities is eligible for a free library
card. Nonresidents are $10 per year for
adults and $5 per year for children.
Why do you think libraries are essential
to a community?
Libraries might be the last place you
can go and there is no expectation of a
transaction. Anyone can come in and
just be. On any given day, libraries bring
together folks from every walk of life.
Libraries also help level the playing field
when it comes to information access,
whether it's through books, the internet,
etc.
What are your impressions of Siloam
Springs?
My husband and I moved "all the way"
from Prairie Grove, where we had been
living for the previous 11 years. I have
lived most of my life in Arkansas, with
most of that being in Northwest Arkansas.
Maybe I'm biased, but I think we have one
of the best areas in the country.
I'm loving Siloam Springs even more
than I thought I would. Siloam has just
about everything one could need and
more. I'm loving the people, the food
options and the green spaces. ere's
a great little farmers market; there are
several great festivals; and even though
Siloam Springs has a lot to offer, it's
really easy to access the other great spots
in Northwest Arkansas and Northeast
Oklahoma.
We appreciate
Siloam
Springs!
