Oklahoma Beta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi at Oklahoma State University | Spring 2023 arrow talk W e all found a home in Pi Beta Phi at Oklahoma State University. Many of our favorite memories come from our time spent together at the chapter house—the place where we gathered for meals and chapter meetings and where lifelong friendships blossomed. While we each had a unique experience at Oklahoma Beta, we all have one thing in common—we found the sisterhood in which we belong. Today's collegiate women are also looking for a place to belong, and as competition for modern housing on campus is growing, we need to create a welcoming home that will not only draw in New Members, but also provide for the ever-changing needs of our current women. For this to happen, we need the help of our loyal alumnae. Since the start of our Continuing Our Oklahoma Beta Sisterhood at 324 capital campaign, 367 alumnae and friends have come together to contribute $7.6 million. Along with generous support from the chapter, we have $8.1 million in commitments toward our efforts. This is an amazing accomplishment, as it shows how much value alumnae place on their Pi Phi experience. To successfully complete this project, however, we need the help of all alumnae. The total estimated cost of our new home is about $16.5 million—this is everything from construction to professional services fees—so it is essential that we have all hands on deck to reach our $9.5 million goal to minimize the financial burden on our collegians. We have one of the largest campaigns to date with Pennington & Company, our fundraising partner. If we can achieve our goal, we will be in the top three Greek organizations in their company history. So far, Beta Theta Pi at the University of Oklahoma has raised the most in their campaign. We believe Pi Beta Phi is #1 and this shouldn't be any different. Let's show what a devoted group of women can do. Each of you had a special time in the chapter house thanks in large part to the alumnae assisting the sorority behind the scenes. Now it is your turn to help create the best home for our members. Key elements of the new house will include a modern European design, beautiful landscaping for outdoor living and dining space, and functional rooms to ensure Oklahoma Beta sisters will thrive. Want to learn what else we have planned? Check out a walk- through video of the house at tinyurl.com/okbetawalkthrough. Your gift will ensure future sisters have a wonderful house that suits their needs. We have come this far toward our goal, and with the help of every sister, we can reach it! Think about the Sincere Friendships you created in the chapter house and help give that same opportunity to future Oklahoma Beta sisters. When all sisters come together, it is truly magical.
