Downtown Prairie Grove's
Mock Park features the historic
spring detailed above. e tree-
lined park has something for the
entire family with playgrounds,
basketball courts, a gazebo and
picnic tables.
Bob kidd Lake
Bob Kidd Lake is located just
two miles from Prairie Grove
and is over 200 acres wide.
e lake is named aer Robert
"Bob" Kidd, a former resident of
Prairie Grove, and was created
in 1975 by damming a creek of
the same name. e lake is ideal
for fishing and duck hunting,
and includes a place to launch
boats.
Clothesline Fair
Prairie Grove's Clothesline
Fair was started in 1951 and
has become one of the top arts
and cras venues in the area.
It is held Labor Day weekend
each year at Battlefield State
Park. e fair features cras, live
music, food and cra vendors,
Civil War history, and one of
the largest square-dancing
competitions in the United
States.
e Clothesline Fair Parade
features tractors, antique
vehicles, fire trucks and local
businesses. It's sponsored by the
Prairie Grove Lions Club and is
one of the area's favorite arts and
cras events.

Mock Park in Prairie Grove. The gardens
at Mock Park are a Washington County
Master Gardener Project. The spring is a
centerpiece.
