He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business from Berry College in Rome, Ga. He worked as a corporate accountant for about 20 years, but always had the desire to pursue an entrepreneurship. "When my Mrs. Pops and I relocated to Northwest Arkansas in 2011, the move afforded me the opportunity to pivot professionally to pursue my dream of opening an ice cream shop," he said. e pandemic hurt many businesses and Pedal Pops was not spared. Yet, in the wake of the climate, global, economic, political and civil unrests that have unfolded since 2020, omspon and his wife realized they had to do their part to create a space for hope, new possibilities, and new memories. ey united on a shared vision and the concept for Pedal Park was born. "I really enjoy making people smile," ompson said. "Bringing happiness to others is a core value and central to pursuing my dream of opening an ice cream shop, despite all the complexities and challenges along the way. I also love bringing people together over food and fun activities, so the creation of Pedal Park was a natural extension." Pedal Park was envisioned as a community friendly space for neighbors and visitors to gather. "A place to celebrate our shared humanity through simple interactions through fun, food and festivities," he said. "We chose to expand in Farmington to continue to contribute toward the local economy and community that have welcomed Pedal Pops when we arrived in 2018." Pedal Pops began as an adventure hoping to fulfill a childhood dream. "A decade later, the dream has come true and expanded into a lifelong commitment of a couple to grow happy, healthy communities that celebrate our shared humanity, through food, fun and festivities, through Pedal Park," he said.
