hroughout 2022, the House Corporation Board funded and managed a variety of chapter house
improvement projects.
BACK PATIO FENCE AND SCOOTER PARKING
For increased security and peace of mind, the bricked back patio and adjacent scooter/bike parking
have been completely enclosed in beautiful, eight-foot iron fencing, featuring coded gate locks and
an automated scooter gate.
AC IMPROVEMENTS
Beginning in the summer and culminating in December, the air conditioning has been upgraded,
including new electronics and external units. The air circulation from the kitchen was also
separated from the main house to optimize cooling.
NEW FOOD-SERVICE PROVIDER
At the start of the semester, we welcomed a new food-service provider to the house. The Greek
House Chefs team has eagerly taken the reigns to expand menu options (including more fresh,
healthy ingredients) and offer better variety for sisters with dietary restrictions. So far, Beta Tau
sisters are happy with the change!
LIVING ROOM REVAMP
Coming later this year, and in time for fall recruitment, the downstairs TV living area will be
refreshed with a new color palate, artwork, and soft goods.
Football and Founders Weekend a Success
I
n November, Beta Tau alumnae celebrated sisterhood at the first-ever Football and Founders weekend in Gainesville. Highlights of the
weekend included a pre-game tailgate on the Reitz Union lawn, block seating in the Swamp for the UF-USC game, and a Founder's Day
ceremony at the chapter house with breakfast and house tours. Congratulations to Peggy Harbour Maloney '87, winner of the autographed
