Students with Redstone's Adopt-A-
School Program and Schools Program
teamed up late last year to host a
Salute Our Military Heroes letter-
writing campaign.
Students in those programs wrote
over 4,000 letters of appreciation to
area veterans. Redstone then collected
the letters and donated $5,000 to
two area non-profits that focus on
assisting veterans in their transition
to civilian life. For each letter
collected, Redstone donated $1.
e letter-writing campaign was
a wonderful way to get students
involved, celebrate veterans in
our community, and be a positive
corporate citizen.
The campaign supported the Still
Ser ving Veterans NAVRNet program.
e North Alabama Veterans
Resources Network was developed
in 2021 to assist veterans who are
dealing with personal crises related
to money, housing, food insecurity,
homelessness, and more. e program
is expanding to encompass all 13
North Alabama counties and has been
endorsed by the Alabama Department
of Veterans Affairs.
In Tennessee, the campaign supported
the MTSU Veterans and Military
Family Center (Daniels Center). e
Daniels Center's mission is to provide
transition services for veterans
and their families as they return to
civilian life after military service.
