"I wel- come the Administration's partner- ship on this crucial project. I'll con- tinue working with Republicans and Democrats to deliver renewable en- ergy investments that create more good-paying Arizona jobs, lower energy costs, and meet our state's growing energy needs." The Ten West Link transmission line has been seen as vital to facili- tating the development of renew- able resources, and for making Ari- zona and California's electrical grid stronger and more reliable. Ten West Link will improve grid effi ciency and reliability, while en- abling new renewable energy and energy storage resources. At its peak, construction will bring more TEN WEST FROM PAGE 1 Nancy's Kitchen than 350 jobs to the region, includ- ing more than 250 union construc- tion jobs. When completed, this new transmission superhighway will have the initial capacity to trans- mit 3,200MW between Central Arizona and Southern California, improving the reliability of the bulk power system serving the two re- gions, while reducing costs to rate- payers. Additionally, Ten West Link will facilitate development of new renewable energy solar and solar plus storage resources in the rapidly growing Desert Southwest region. Construction activities commenced in late 2022 and the project is ex- pected to come online in 2024.
